A selfie of me blowing a bubble with gum

Thanks for visiting! Since 2010, I’ve been blogging on this domain. But like all good things in life, it grew, died, and reincarnated as I have changed and grown. My adoration for posting words and digital art have remained constant. “CorylDork” is my personal, digital phoenix. Today, it houses my blog, displays my art and design portfolio, and advertises my services as a freelance editor.

Who am I? Freelance editor & designer, artist, blogger, writer.

My name is Coryl, like “coral reef” but spelled differently. I have a BA in Spanish Language, English Literature, and Creative Writing, which I earned in a dual-concentration program at the University of Windsor. My two great loves are words and art. You can find me playing with language through writing, reading, translating, and editing. I write, and am working on being published one day. I love helping other writers, so if you want to hire me for editing or designing, get in contact with me! (See my portfolio of work as well as an art portfolio for additional personal projects.)

One day, I hope to visit Japan to see the village where my great-grandmother worked when she saw the A-bomb; visit a shinto shrine; and eat pork cutlet bowls until I burst. Until then, I’ll write stories, make art, and read books while constantly trying to be a better person.

Here is a quick list of quirky facts about me:

What is this website? Blog, portfolio, professional services.

CorylDork is a blog, portfolio, and professional services domain.

My blog is centered on lifestyle and I consider it nicheless. I write about the following:

I post content every Monday and alternate weekly with Wednesday & Friday.

Information about my services as a freelance editor and designer are also available here. I have freelanced since 2016. With the help of my bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, I possess a strong grasp of language in academic and fiction writing.
